How to be an Activist: Civic Engagement Leadership Training

The fallout of the election has awakened a new spirit of civic engagement among those of us who had never previously considered ourselves activists. As one woman put it, "protesting is the new brunch."

To keep this momentum going, we've put together a curriculum that will help us define activism and get an overview of how the political system works on a federal, state, and local level. This program is bipartisan and cause agnostic with the goal of teaching people to make the maximum impact with their limited time. It is meant to be a foundation upon which anyone can build a specific plan of action.

We are looking for instructors to lead this program in their city. Alessandra Biaggi will lead a two-hour webinar for anyone who is interested in teaching. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact on your community and educate a whole new generation of activists.

And in case you were wondering, you'll be paid if you become a teacher. We do a rev share with all of our instructors and this program will be no different.

Even if you're not sure you want to teach, we highly encourage you to take the webinar as you'll learn a ton from Alessandra and her years in Governor Cuomo's office and on Senator Clinton's campaign.
