Sarah Kunst is the managing director of Cleo Capital, a senior advisor at Bumble where she focuses on their corporate VC arm Bumble Fund & a contributing editor at Marie Claire Magazine. We asked Sarah a few questions to learn her best money advice and to learn which woman inspires her the most.

What is the best money advice you’ve ever received?

Invest! Put money into your 401k or a platform like Ellevest, and into more risky things like crypto (I suggest using ‘buy the cryptoverse’ on Gemini) and even startups if you’re an accredited angel investor. Putting an extra $100/month into investments can pay off in a way that another round of drinks generally won’t.

What’s a moment in your career that you’re really proud of?

Launching my own fund. So few women are VCs, much less start their own funds. I’m excited to be part of changing that.

Who is a woman you admire (living or dead)?

Maya Angelou, her works aren’t just beautiful, they’re honest, inspiring and timeless.

What is one thing you hope the attendees at the conference will take away from your story?

Work hard and help others and get really smart about your area of expertise and say yes when opportunities come your way and you’ll be pretty unstoppable.
